SupportLink Australia Ltd is a non profit company dedicated to assisting people effected by emergencies and crisis.
At SupportLink we receive personal information mainly from intermediary agencies such as police, doctors, employers and government departments. We receive this personal information only to enable us to perform our function of coordinating services provision and referring you to a support agency/s which can assist you.
We do not accept details about you unless we are satisfied you have consented to that personal information being passed to us.
We accept only basic information such as your name, sex, address, telephone number and other information relevant to our purpose of referring you to a support agency or service.
All the information we hold about you is stored securely on our password protected computer system.
You are welcome to have access to the personal information we hold about you at any time. If you discover we hold personal information which is incorrect or inaccurate, you can ask us to amend or correct it by contacting us.
We continue to hold personal information about you for an indefinite period for the reason that we may be required by law to provide information to the Courts or to provide further assistance and support to you at some future time. As indicated above, all personal information is securely held.
