Home Safety Program

Description

The Home Safety Program, managed by supportLink IT, is designed to assist ACT residents in improving the security of their homes while endeavouring to minimise other preventable risks such as fire or injuries caused by falls.

The program mails out information advising residents of how to improve their home security and safety and in some circumstances provide assistance to conduct a home safety assessment of homes within the ACT.

Client Base

The Program is open to all residents of the ACT, with priority given to persons who are vulnerable and/or at risk, frail, aged or who have a disability.

Cost

There are no costs to receiving assistance. The Home Safety Program is funded by the ACT Government and receives sponsorship from NRMA Insurance. It is also supported by a range of other agencies including ACT Policing, ACT Fire Brigade, ACT Ambulance Service, Emergency Services Authority and Neighbourhood Watch.

The Home Safety Program can also organise home safety and security presentations. Please contact supportLink for more information.
